Brave Bird have put together a sixteen song compilation including full-length demos, covers, the Ready or Not EP and bedroom recordings. You can stream the tracks below, or help the band out by purchasing the album on their Bandcamp page. To hear the tracks from Maybe You, No One Else Worth It stripped down and acoustic provides a sense unrefined allurement that you only get from demos.

Watch: The Front Bottoms – “Twin Size Mattress”

The Front Bottoms have released a new song titled Twin Size Mattress accompanied by a music video which you can watch below. This song is from their new album Talon of the Hawk that will be released on the 21st of May through Bar/None Records. You can pre-order Talon of the Hawk as a 12″ vinyl or a CD.

The following was said about the upcoming album by Bar/None Records. “At the core of The Front Bottoms’ new album Talon of the Hawk, is the crazy hybrid of slamming rock drumming and acoustic guitar The Front Bottoms are known for, but this time the band augments their sound with electric guitars, synths, even a little accordion. Over top is Brian Sella’s confident heartfelt vocals that will have you laughing one minute, crying the next and then maybe pumping your fist and singing along when you least suspect it. Talon of the Hawk rocks harder than their debut and it is more complex in both subject matter and arrangements. Once this sucker gets it’s claws in you’re going to soar.”

Previously mentioned when they announced their forthcoming album, The Greatest Generation, Philadelphia pop-punk outfit The Wonder Years are now streaming the first song off of the album. The song is titled Passing Through A Screen Door and is available to stream on AbsolutePunk‘s Soundcloud page. You can now pre-order the album within various bundles from Hopeless Records. Passing Through A Screen Door will be available to purchase on iTunes at midnight EST.

Stream: The Strokes – “Comedown Machine”

The Strokes have now unveiled their fifth studio album Comedown Machine. The album has already had mixed reviews, as it was streaming on Pitchfork’s website, however the stream is unfortunately no longer available. Critical judgement of this album is inevitable with a band that produced phenomenal earlier releases. You can stream the track All The Time below which sounds more like their roots compared to their synth filled single One Way Trigger

mewithoutYou have released a video for their song February 1878 from their album released last year Ten Stories. Now a completely independent band, their music video was thus self-funded. You can donate to the band on a “Name Your Price” basis and recieve a DRM-free HD copy of the video here.
