You can now listen to a new track by Guided By Voices titled “The Unsinkable Fats Domino” off their new album Let’s Go Eat the Factory. The album marks a return to a lineup of Robert Polland, Tobin Sprout, Mitch Mitchell, Greg Demos, and Kevin Fennell, the same lineup the band had when they recorded indie rock essentials like Bee Thousand and Alien Lanes. Let’s Go Eat the Factory will be released January 1st, 2012 on the band’s own GBV Inc. label and you can preorder the 7″ for the single right here.

Bon Iver Wins Q Award, Discusses Future Collaborations

Q Magazine dished out honors yesterday for its Q Awards, in which Bon Iver received a well-deserved award for “Best New Album”. After receiving the award, Vernon discussed his recent collaborations with Kanye West and James Blake, stating that they were “awesome” and hinting that there was more to come. On his recent collaboration with Blake, Vernon stated that the two were “mutual fans”, that “it became pretty obvious” that the two should work together, and that the two would be doing “a lot in the future”. Other award winners include Coldplay with “Best Act in the World Today”, WU LYF with “Best New Act”, Lana Del Rey with “Next Big Thing”, and Snow Patrol with a peculiar “Best Classic Song” award.

Listen: Caribou and Jacques Green Remix Radiohead

On July 4th in the UK and July 5th in America, Radiohead will be releasing a series of limited edition 12” releases of remixes of their latest album, The King of Limbs, which was released early this year in February. The first of these releases will contain a remix of “Little By Little” by Caribou and a remix of “Lotus Flower” by Jacques Greene. The remixes will be available for order here on their release day.
