Listen: Robotic Pirate Monkey – “Front Range Feeling (Lazerdisk Party Sex Remix)”

Lazerdisk Party Sex, the electro/moombahton duo best known for their comedic songs “Tiger Blood” and “Lemonade Is Still Popular” as well as their Storm Trooper helmets, are back with a new remix of Robotic Pirate Monkey‘s “Front Range Feeling” for the group’s Colors In Disguise: Remixed. Lazerdisk Party Sex have been known for their dubstep sound but in this song, they produce an electro-funk feel that stands out from the rest of the Lazerdisk Party Sex catalog. You can check out the “Front Range Feeling” remix below and if you like what you hear, you can also listen to the fully-remixed Robotic Pirate Monkey album on Soundcloud.

Listen: Jack Beats – “Epidemic (feat. Dillon Francis)”

Jack Beats has released an album called Careless under Skrillex‘s label OSWLA. Careless is currently number 4 on Beatport right now and is a distinctive album, not one of your typical dubstep albums. This song is one of the best on the album and it gives you a pretty decent preview of the entire record’s sound. Jack Beats and Dillon Francis definitely make a bouncy track for their audience when they play it live. My personal favorite part of the song is the piano at the start transitioning to the drop and the outcome is brilliant. Have fun listening to it, because it is already becoming one of my favorite songs so far!

Stream: Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize) – Middle Finger EP

Dog Blood, the new duo of Skrillex and Boys Noize, have released a new two song EP called Middle Finger through Boysnoize Records. Fresh off his new pair of remixes for four-man DJ group Birdy Nam Nam, Skrillex and his hard-hitting bass blends perfectly with Boyz Noize’s distinct sound, giving us two new songs to get pumped to. From the group’s Twitter page, it sounds like more material will be on the way, but nothing has been confirmed yet and if there is, I want to hear more! Put on your headphones and turn up the bass for this!

Listen: Swedish House Mafia – “Don’t You Worry Child”

Swedish House Mafia, the electronic supergroup made up of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello, have released another sensational song with John Martin. The vocals are nothing but spectacular — but I mean, come on, it’s John Martin! He sang “Save The World”! The production in the track is powerful with a progressive house drop that is sure to make people jump and fist-pump into the air.

Unforunately, a couple of weeks ago, the Swedish House Mafia announced to the public that they broke up — news that was devastating to the entire EDM scene. They haven’t explained much about this newly released single, but it could very well be their last.

Listen: The Knocks – “The Feeling”

The Knocks have already brought us huge hits like “Brightside” and “Dancing With The DJ”, and now, they bless us with yet another uplifting summer song. The Knocks are known for releasing catchy songs that are remixed by famous artists around the world and the likes of Madeon, Chiddy Bang, TheFatRat, and Xaphoon Jones have all taken a turn. The version of “The Feeling” below is the original from The Knocks, but I’m sure someone is going to end up remixing it into a club anthem.

“The Feeling” sees The Knocks changing their style a bit compared to their previous song by adding a glitchier sound to the drop, but they still have a catchy beat that we will all enjoy listening to. Check it out for yourself below.

Listen: Maroon 5 – “Payphone (Amarolas Remix)”

Amarolas, a new 16 year old electro producer, released a brand new remix of Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa‘s megahit “Payphone”  a couple days ago. The original song never appealed to me, but this remix definitely makes it a great song to sing along to now. You can find more of his mixes on his Soundcloud page or on his website at amarolas.com.

Listen: Excision and Downlink – “Crowd Control (Delta Heavy Remix)”

Delta Heavy, the dubstep group that brought you the incredible “Must Be The Feeling” remix, delivers with a filthy new dubstep banger. The drop is perfect for what comes next as Delta Heavy creates a totally different sound compared to the original song. Be ready to rage when you hear this!

Listen: Avicii – “Dancing In My Head (Tom Hangs Mix)”

Avicii, one of the biggest progressive house artists right now, finally releases the long awaited “Dancing In My Head”, but it’s not the “(Avicii’s Been Cursed Mix)”. In this mix, Eric Turner adds monumental vocals that would sound spectacular in a club or a festival. It’s clear that this song will be a new party anthem. You can watch the creative lyric video for the song below.

Listen: Com Truise – “Chemical Legs”

Com Truise always sounds at peace when he’s programs his synthesizer, so there’s no surprise that his new song “Chemical Legs”, the latest contribution to Adult Swim’s Singles Program is a stunner. What may come as a surprise, however, is that the New Jersey-based musician features his own vocals for the first time as he half-talks, half-sings over the semi-robotic, Daft Punk like synth trance that we’ve grown to love and expect from Truise.

You can stream the entire song below on Soundcloud or grab the MP3 directly from Adult Swim.

Adult Swim will continue to release a brand new exclusive song for three more weeks to complete the 12 week, 12 song plan. We’ve already heard new material from artists like FlyLo and Wavves. Next up is Yamantaka//Sonic Titan, which we’ll hear next Monday.

Listen: PORTALS Summer Mixtape 2012

PORTALS, a music community that produces a “Monthly Mixtape Series” have teamed up with Chill Mega Chill Records to produce a summer mixtape created through submissions from their community in limited edition cassette form. It is available both in cassette and mp3 form from both PORTALS’ and Chill Mega Chill’s bandcamps (here and here, respectively).

PORTALS “is a refuge for emerging talent, for the young artist who may have no other place to be heard, for music that is better than its ability to seem cool.” The mixtape is full of phenomenal indie, lo-fi, and experimental artists thus, this mixtape is a perfect accompany for a relaxed, ‘chill mega chill’ Summer. Stream it below.
