Now, with both camps dominating the world stage it makes for the most natural of partnerships for the new My Favorite Robot album to find a home with the irrepressible No.19 Music. Their new album Atomic Age will be available on the 16th of September with the track-list available below. Mayday Parade Announce New Album “Monsters In The Closet”

Mayday Parade
Mayday Parade has just released information on their highly anticipated upcoming album, officially titled Monsters In the Closet. Since March of this year, the Floridian rock outfit had been uploading studio updates onto Youtube; the videos themselves hold some information regarding the new album, including the “names” of the songs on the album on a whiteboard (which are most likely, however, shortened or placeholders). Monsters in the Closet was produced by Kenneth Mount and Zack Odem (All Time Low, The Summer Set, We Are The In Crowd) and is scheduled for release via Fearless Records around October 8th.

Along with the news of the album came information on a new tour, where Mayday Parade will be headlining the Glamour Kills Tour 2013. Considering the dates of the tour ensue the release of the new record, you can probably expect new songs to be performed live!

Fitness Club Fiasco’s Disjointed History

Fitness Club Fiasco

Indie synth-pop outfit, Fitness Club Fiasco, have had a bit of a disjointed history. The band formed in Bristol, England, with Mike Harloff (vocals, guitar, synths) teaming up with Jess Underdown (vocals). They released two tracks through Something in Construction Records titled Forest City and Dialogue Dreamer, and both received coverage from NME and regular spins on BBC radio.

To continue on their journey, the expats have now returned to Canada and added new members Matt Henderson of Old English, local singer-songwriter Jess Janz, and drummer Cam Guthrie. With the new setting and additional members the band has now acquired a new sound. Holding onto their dancey rhythms, infectious pop melodies, clever, thoughtful lyrics, and a heavy helping of synths they have now grown and evolved into something more mature, more emotional, and more organic.

No song showcases this progression and rebirth better than their new single Goldmine. Self described as a brooding, slow-burning synth-pop number that builds deliberately, note-by-note, from its haunting, minimalist opening to its explosive end. Goldmine, the first single off of their upcoming full length, is available to stream below and can be downloaded for free on their Bandcamp.
