Stream: The Magnetic Fields – Love At the Bottom of the Sea

Head over to NPR to stream The Magnetic Fieldsnew album Love At the Bottom of the Sea. The album will be the indie pop band’s tenth and is also their first since they concluded their “no-synth” trilogy ((iDistortion, and Realism), marking a return to the synth and acoustic guitar roots present on their mammoth 1999 classic 69 Love Songs. Love At the Bottom of the Sea will be officially released March 6th through Merge Records, and you can watch the music video for “Andrew in Drag” below.

Watch: Crystal Castles – “Suffocation”

Although electronic duo Crystal Castles are busy planning to record a new album, it looks like they’re not completely done with their last one, and have released a “fashion video” for their song “Suffocation”. The video, which features member Alice Glass poignantly moving around and changing into various dresses, is directed by band member Ethan Kath, and you can watch it over at Vs.Magazine. Stay tuned for more info on their new album.

Watch: OFWGKTA – “Rella”

Check out a new music video from Los Angeles based hip hop collective Odd Future for their song “Rella”, which features Tyler the Creator, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis and production by Left Brain. The video comes chock full of funky wigs, samurai space suits, and laser transforming genitalia and is in promotion for the group’s next release, OF Tape Vol. 2, which will be coming out March 20th through their own Odd Future Records.

Also coming up for the crew is the premiere of their own TV show on Adult Swim, Loiter Squad. The show will premiere five days after their new tape on March 25th, and you can check out a teaser over at World Star Hip Hop.

Listen: Blur – “Under the Westway”

During tonight’s War Child 2012 benefit show, Blur members Graham Coxon (guitar) and Damon Albarn (vocals) got together to premiere a new song titled “Under the Westway”. The song features Albarn on vocals and piano while Coxon plays the accoustic guitar, and, as Stereogum pointed out, it does sound very Bowie-esque and special. You can watch the video below or download a rip over here.

The britpop pioneers have also recently announced that they will be headlining an Olympic Closing Ceremony gig this fall August 12th at Hyde Park. Although the band has reunited plenty of times in their eight year hiatus, it looks like they will be sticking together this time, and are also recording a new album. Stay tuned for more Blur news.
